Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 September 2026

This is a personal engineering portfolio. It has no accounts, no shop, no newsletter and no tracking. The short version: I do not collect anything about you, and nothing you do here is sent to me.

What this site stores

The site sets no cookies. It saves one small setting in your browser's local storage — whether you chose the high or low visual effects mode in the navigation bar — so the page looks the way you left it.

That setting lives only in your own browser. It is never transmitted anywhere, I cannot read it, and clearing your browsing data removes it.

Analytics

There are none. No Google Analytics, no pixels, no heatmaps, no fingerprinting, no third-party scripts of any kind. I do not know who visits this site or what they look at.

Third parties

Loading a page here contacts no one but the server hosting it. Fonts, icons, stylesheets, scripts and every project photo are served from this domain rather than a CDN, specifically so no outside company sees a request just because you opened the page.

The one exception is video. Some projects include a YouTube video, and opening one of those projects loads a player from Google. Nothing is requested from Google while you are browsing the page itself — only when you open a project that has a video in it.

Those players use YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), which avoids tracking storage until a video is actually played. Google can still receive your IP address, and can set storage in your browser once playback begins. That is Google's processing, governed by the Google Privacy Policy. If you would rather it never load, a content blocker or your browser's third-party settings will stop it.

Hosting

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web server, GitHub's infrastructure processes the technical information needed to deliver a page — your IP address, browser type and the file requested — and may retain it in server logs for security purposes. I have no access to those logs. See the GitHub Privacy Statement for how GitHub handles that data.

Links out

Project cards link to GitHub repositories, Google Drive folders and YouTube. Once you follow a link, you are on someone else's site and their privacy policy applies, not this one.

Contact

If you email me, I will have your email address and whatever you wrote — that is the nature of email. I use it only to reply. I do not add anyone to a list and I do not share addresses with anybody.

Children

This site is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct and delete personal data held about you. Since I hold no personal data about visitors, there is nothing for me to retrieve or erase. If you have emailed me and want that correspondence deleted, ask and I will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. The full history of this page is public in the site's repository, so you can see exactly what changed and when.
